BeautyBar & Allure's Sample Society - Relaunch

I haven't joined Sample Society before but they announced this past week their relaunch for July! Changes going forward include all Allure-editor selected products, ie: more makeup products, and a $10 off $50 discount on BeautyBar.com. Previously, their boxes focused too much on skincare and the discount was only applicable on products featured in that month's box. Some changes but what drew me in was their July sneak peek!!  Subscription boxes really need to do this more often to get me hooked! (Actually my wallet doesn't agree..)

ALL July boxes will include:
Fekkai intesnive hair mask
Laura Mercier's highlighter
Butter London nail polish
L'oreal liquid lipstick
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Aqua Universalis Eau de Toilette

The monthly cost is $15 which is $5 more than my Birchbox and Ipsy bags. However, with a Laura Mercier product and Butter London Polish and Fekkai, I am intrigued! I am hoping August boxes will continue to bring more makeup goodies!

June Birchbox & Ipsy Box Reviews

This month, I thought I would do both my Birchbox and Ipsy reveals together. I received my Birchbox past the 15th and my Ipsy around the 13th - which are not the norm for either subscriptions for me! In any case, I enjoyed both bags equally for different reasons!

First, Birchbox! I have subscribed to them for so long so I was genuinely happy that I got a good box this month .. Variet of skin, fragrance, eyes, lips and facial. Perfect combo and new additions for the next coming weeks! Here's what I got in my "away we go" themed box:

The Coastal Scents quad sampling of the Revealed 2 eyeshadow palette
The Egyptian Magic all purpose skin cream
Harvey Prince citrus perfume - perfect for summer!
LAQA & Co. sheer lip lube pencil in Bees Knees - sheer coral color with a minty side
Vasanti Cosmetics BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - with papaya enzymes to bring out your inner glow!

Want to subscribe to Birchbox? Go here!

Ipsy- I have bee getting my bags for almost a year and have to say that it keeps getting better! My first few months were okay but now I am using more of the products as they're more suitable. Also, each bag's design gets better and better! We lucked out with getting this cute Rebecca Minkoff pineapple print bag. There could've been just one product and I would've been okay with it. But of course, Ipsy spoils us with 5 goodies again.

Here's our "Pretty in Paradise" treats:
Laneige BB Cushionsampler- got the softest mini puff ever! Perfect coverage for myself and includes all 3 shades.
Skinn olive & enzyme cleanser - doubles as a cleansing mask too!
Marc Anthony Beach Spray - beach trip, anyone?
NYX cosmetics lip butter gloss in Apple Strudel -moisturizing!
Jesse's Girl liquid eyeliner

Quarterly #MIZ03 box review

This quarter's #Miz03 Quarterly box curated by Bianca Jade aka MizzFit has arrived! I feel like I have been waiting for this since mid-May and now that it's here, I can't wait to use everything!

This month's theme is all about rejuvenation after a workout. The largest item is the Thermos filtered water bottle. I  already using another filter water bottle so will have to save this for a bit later.

Vidergize is one of my favorite sites to get on-the-go workout videos. Using a credit system, ($1 a credit) you can easily watch videos for a buck or two all in the comfort of your own home. You get a free 7 credit pass with this box.

Now on to my favorite beauty products... The Norma Kamali trio set- soap, massage oil and liniment (aka moisturizer). Olive oil is so naturally good for your skin and I love how it moisturizes. Really excited to try the soap now.. As I've already dabbed myself in some of the liniment and oil.

We also received a special blood orange lip balm and eye gel pads to keep your face feeling refreshed. It was completely thoughtful of Bianca to keep us feeling spa-like from head- to- toe with all these products! There's also two snack bars Almond and Cashew flavors. Nutty!

There was also a code to get a lace sports bra for half off! I saw that they were prices at ~$60 so although it comes out to about $30, I will probably pass. Going to put that $ towards my next Quarterly box! :)

I seriously can't wait for my next one in August! #miz04

Ipsy's Generation Beauty Conference

Happy June! I kicked off the month with the Ipsy Generation Beauty conference in LA this past weekend. (AKA the Beauty Mecca with a gazillion beauty goodies) This was my first time there and I am so glad I got the opportunity to go both days! Tips on avoiding the long lines? Get there early, and head straight to the booths that were giving away products!

We dashed to the Benefit booth to get a free sample of their They're Real Push-up Liner. Quickly noticed that the other brands were either selling or doing demos so we went to Bare Minerals's booth. It was by far the most popular booth of the weekend; the lines stretched about 3/4 of the entire space as people waited patiently to get their skin color matched to a full-size Bare Skin foundation and brush! (Almost all freebies at the event came at the cost of posting a pic on social media with their hashtag.)

Here are some pics of the venue:

The best part of each day was the HAPPY HOUR- redeeming tickets to get packaged goodie bags! There were 4 tickets with 4 bags of loot! There were slight variations in the bags of course but mostly everyone got lots of stuff! Some booths you were only allowed to get one sample since they marked your badge but others you could get multiple :)

Can't wait to do reviews of these products and hopefully will get to try these all out! This should seriously last a whole year :) or I may just give it away.. Reviews coming soon!

This is seriously one of the best consumer beauty events out there! The ticket prices are a bit hefty- ranging from $50-$150 depending if you're an Ipsy subscriber and when you purchase the ticket. I'll be getting mine in advance again!
