February Birchbox featuring Beauty Blender

I received my February Birchbox earlier this month- before Valentine's Day- and what a treat it was! It had some great products including the Beauty Blender sponge- perfect for lightly dabbing foundation, smudging concealer under eyes and basically blending to perfection. It's a hot pink sponge that I've been eye-ing for years and finally I get my hands on one! :) Another favorite product from this month's box is the Jouer Tinted Moisturizer. Normally I use my fingers to blend, but I have Beauty Blender sponge this time. The color is illuminating and only wish the sample was lot bigger.. Also got an exfoliating cleanser from Dermalogica, a heart-shaped nail file, and some music downloads!

So glad the Birchboxes have gotten better and better this year!! Can't wait for my March box in the next two weeks! Haven't joined the Birchbox wagon yet.. join today!

My December Birchbox

I was excited with my November Birchbox, so to see this month's, I was hoping there would be more holiday-goodness. The products they selected were interesting but the sizes of the samples were so small! (Maybe I need to practice minimalism?) Really hope the January box for the New Year will be spectacular!! Here's what I got this month:

1) Ageless perfume sample- smells pretty good. Updating my perfume sample in my bag for emergency spritzes.
2) EBOOST- it's a powder that if you add water, it becomes an energy/immunity drink. Saving this for.. after New Year's!
3) Benefit's the POREfessional- haven't tried this yet either but I am looking forward to testing this. My skin has been too dry in the morning to even use a pore minimizer/mattifier.
4) ShowStoppers- 2 black strips of tape. Haven't found the need to use this since I have clear tape already.. will use this next month though for a party dress. :)
5) Jouer & birchbox's hot pink lip gloss- super bright pink and festive for the holiday party.. Huge fan of Jouer products, so glad to see they made this special color just for Birchbox subscribers. As always, Jouer's formula is spot-on!
6) NUXE Shimmer Oil- this is my favorite in the box. It gives your skin an Oscar-winning glow and makes my skin look so sheen! loveee this! And a little goes a long way.. go shimmer into 2012!

Jouer at Henri Bendel on Fashion's Night Out

During my Fashion's Night Out escapade earlier this month, I stumbled into Henri Bendel and all its magical glory. There, I met with Jouer's beauty team where they were giving out gifts and mini-makeovers! It was so lovely to see the Jouer products since I've only seen them online (read reviews here on how wonderful brand is here.) For attendees, we each got a scarf, a mini lip gloss and mini moisturizing treatment (YES-same one as the September Birchbox!)

September's Birchbox- One Year Anniversary!

My September Birchbox has arrived! (Actually got this about two weeks ago..) This month's box is their celebratory box for their 1-year anniversary. I remember when Birchbo came out but I was a bit skeptical of the idea.. but I'm glad I finally joined! This is my third month with them, and overall, I am content with my goodies. I'm a sample junkie so I love trying (& collecting) new goodies in my stash. Variety is key! :) I found the goodies in this month's box a tad "smaller" in terms of the sizing of the products, so I'm hoping next month will have more larger sized samples.

I got the following in my box:

* Incoco nail polish applique
* LIV GRN eau de parfum sampler in "earth"
* Jouer lip moisturizing treatment (so cute!)
