June birchbox - Wanderlust- themed

Hurrah! My June Birchbox has arrived and I'm loving the beauty travel/Wanderlust themed products. (Also got a full-sized lip gloss/stick!) Here's what I got:

The first thing that caught my eye was their green packaging that housed the Color Club nailpolish in Reign in Spain. Already similar to my last polish, this one is a bit brighter though. It also had the suki Exfolate Foaing Cleanser. Great sample to bring with on vaca but will probably use it all before I go anywhere! I'm also loving the Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo! This mini-version is perfect for travel and I already have the large-size so will be saving this one. My favorite is the full-size lip gloss pencil which was nice! The Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick can also be used for cheek color as well so definitely psyched for this month's Birchbox. My beauty extras were the 100% Pure lotion packets- perfect for dry skin.

April Birchbox with Women's Health

April's Birchbox was a steal! It came with a subscription to Women's Health magazine, worth $10 so already the box was well with it! Also got some amazing samples, such as Caudalie's Divine Oil, superGoop eye cream and Ruby Wing nailpolish. I also got some munchies from Hail Merry with their chocolate coconut macaroons. I'm still on the fence about the hair product though, since my hair routine is pretty simple.

January Birchbox

My January Birchbox arrived mid-month and with my new 2013 attitude, I sampled everything right away! I took a spritz of SkinnyChic which smelled lovely. I also swiped my finger against Hot Mama's peachy goodness- love it! I opened up the poster to read all things Birchbox recommended us to do for this year. Later that day, I used the clarifying shampoo - to switch out my regular one. It had a nice sudsy feel- but will continue to use it to see if I will actually get a full-size. The Fresh skin cream was incorporated in my night routine- woke up to smooth hydrated skin.

Lash em serum - I waited until the weekend to try. Nothing drastic has changed yet..and unsure the little sample may bring any solid results.

All in all, excited to see my box next month! Hope it's a good valentines themed one!

November Birchbox

My November Birchbox arrived mid-month but Thanksgiving and Sandy- craze got in the way of blogging...

I got some nice products but would have liked larger samples! :) I received the Stila liquid luminizer in Pink Shimmer (perfect for highlighting cheekbones), One Love's Aromatic Body Serum (body aromatherapy oil for hydration), MCMC fragrance sample and Masqueology eye mask. As a bonus, I got an Masque Cleanse and 7D Moisture Cream from Masqueology.

The products are fun and definitely worth a try so I'm glad I'm still with Birchbox. Its been more than a year! Trying new samples is always fun and I am definitely loving the One Love serum and Stila highlighter!

September's Birchbox

This month, It's all about the September magazine issues where they're packed with style tips, pictures and ads! I am so pleased that Birchbox followed suit with oodles of samples (which also means more feedback opportunities to get more reward points!)

The box immediately jumped out to me when I saw the beautiful Benefit Cleansing Collection sample case with their Facial Wash and Skin Polisher. I also couldn't help but notice the gorgeous blue Twistband that came with it and the cute dark steel colored polish from ColorClub. I also had my eye on the Youngblood mineral primer and immediately dabbed some on to test it. My love for tea was excited to see a trio sampling of Mighty Leaf tea . And speaking of trios, a sample of Nexxus shampoo, conditioner and creme was my last goody in the box for me to ogle over.

All in all, September's box was filled with more than I expected - and no perfume samples this time! I was already spoiled with my Birchbox #SampleStop

Personally, my top three favorites are Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask, LORAC's Lips with Benefits lip gloss, and Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara. Mostly because these brands are familiar to me but also because these products are perfect for my own personal style. I was pleased to learn some new brands that I haven't heard of before receiving the Total Beauty Collection for HSN. The intelliWHITE toothpaste is a nice whitening toothpaste that I look forward to getting the full-size product so I can continue to use after my sample is finished. I also loved using the Carol's Daughter MONOI shampoo & conditioner sample. My hair felt completely conditioned and will need to add that to my Sephora cart next time. :) All in all, I'm excited about the Total Beauty Collection boxes and can't wait to see future boxes from them!

I'm in Love With Food!

There is something about monthly Subscription boxes that I find intriguing.. Especially if it's a box of delightful snacks! At BlogHer 2013 earlier this month, I discovered the company Love With Food who graciously sent me a box for review. In this month's box, I snacked on vegan cookies, a snack pack of cherries, gingin (ginger) candied, glee natural gum, coconut toffee peanuts and pretzel sticks dipped in a lime mustard dip. My June Birchbox

This month's Birchbox was again ah-mazing. I've been impressed with the past few months already so I was quite pleased when I received my June box. First two items that popped out, not only because they weren't wrapped in the tissue paper, were the Cynthia Rowley designed bandaids and the Eyeko Skinny Liquid eyeliner. How did Birchbox know I needed new bandaids? Perfect for any cuts or emergencies with new shoes, these designer bandaids are super cute. I also immediately tested the liner and loved its super fine pointy tip which will make all applications precise. (need that steady hand though!) Also the formula didn't smudge which is perfect.

The other items were theBalm's Stainiac in Beauty Queen - a two-fer- cheek and lipstain, Yu-Be moisturizing skin cream sample and Melvita's Rose Floral Water mist. Also a Birchbox Man extra- a cologne in honor of Father's Day- was included in my box. The 6 items in my box were pretty spot-on with their theme JetSetter as I will definitely be carrying these on my getaway next month!

My first PeekPak

Recently I signed up and joined the PeekPak program, which is a completely FREE pack of yummy snacks and a beverage for you to enjoy. All you have to do is complete a survey at the end to get your next one. I cannot wait to devour my snacks and let them know what I think of each one. As you can see, I am getting about 6 products which is similar to what other paid foodie subscription boxes contain in theirs. Thank you to PeekPak and the companies in the box!

April Birchbox- Natural Wonders

Since this month is Earth Month, Birchbox curated a box specifically on green and earth-friendly products. LOVEEEEEEEEE ITTTTTT!!! The box I got introduced me to new brands as well some of my favorites- Yes To, Zoya and Weleda.The new brands were Atelier Cologne (scent:  Orange Sanguine)and Marula The Leakey Collection (pure Marula Oil). Anything blood orange, I love so this cologne smelled delicious.. will easily be using this everyday this month. The Marula Oil is intriguing as I love using facial oils to moisturize. I've loved the past Zoya colors I got so I'm excited to try this new nude color from their TRUE Spring collection. It looks like clay so it's a color that I'll be wearing when I'm not in the mood for brights. The Weleda Pomegranate Firming Night Cream is a great night cream.. love the scent! And last but not least, is the Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Cleansing Facial Towelettes. This 8-pack is awesome for after workouts to feel fresh and revived. They smell great, and I already have a full-sized pack so this mini travel size is great to have. Love the Natural Wonders in this month's box and cannot wait to get the Gossip Girl inspired box next month!

Blissmo Spring into Beauty box

My Spring into Beauty BlissMoBox that I selected in mid-February finally arrived at the end of March... and it was only because I had emailed them to inquire where my box was. This happened last time with my Chocolate box too, so already I wasn't too pleased that I had to follow-up again. As you can see, this Spring into Beauty box contains the following:
1) Neutrogena Naturals MultiVitamin Nourishing Night Cream
2) Olie Biologique oil- looks like a sample size to me but really love the Argan Oil..
3) Go! Towel made of luxe bamboo- will use this on a trip
4) Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques- lip scrub- a small sample and lastly, a sample of the Pangea Organics Facial Cleanser.

I'm so used to Blissmo boxes being packed, full of great full-sized goodies, especially since each box costs me $22. The value I see here is much less, with so many samples, and quite frankly it's disappointing. I have loved every single other box that Blissmo has come up which is why I have high standards for them! I know they can deliver more full sized goodies especially since they're charging a lot more than the rest of the subscription services. With so many new companies coming up, it's really hard to keep a customer loyal. I hope Blissmo reads this and takes action! I do appreciate getting a confirmation email for my next box, which is a step in the right direction.

KLUTCHclub is a new and up &coming health/fitness focused monthly subscription box, for about $18/month. (each box valued at over $50!!) Their first box, is due to subscribers around mid-April and I learned about KLUTCHclub through celebrity Yoga & Pilates instructor, Kristin McGee, via twitter. March Birchbox curated by teen vogue

My March Birchbox arrived safely mid-March and I've been happily using these items this past 2.5 weeks. I sadly lost my turquoise hair-tie yesterday as it is MIA and was a bit loose for my hair..The Tarte LipSurgence gloss's light red sheen is gorgeous with the right amount of color for a berry pout and the Essie polish's sparkly top coat is glitter-tastic. The Shiseido blotting papers- I'm saving those for the summer months. The Annick Goutal Petite Cherie smells so Parisian, absolutely love the pear & vanilla combo! As you may already know, I'm a huge monthly subscription box junkie! It took me a while to warm up to the idea of paying for more samples, but after so many companies came up with these boxes, I dived right in!

Now, I recently discovered Abe's Market which lets you select any 3 samples for just $2 (include shipping!). Blissmo Box- Chocolate Lovers

My favorite Eco-Friendly monthly subscription box- BlissMoBox.com has arrived this month! (It was a tad later than I expected since they normally mail them out at the beginning of the month.) However, the wait was well worth it! I had selected the Chocolate Lovers and it came with an assortment of delicious cocoa goodies! February Birchbox featuring Beauty Blender

I received my February Birchbox earlier this month- before Valentine's Day- and what a treat it was! It had some great products including the Beauty Blender sponge- perfect for lightly dabbing foundation, smudging concealer under eyes and basically blending to perfection. It's a hot pink sponge that I've been eye-ing for years and finally I get my hands on one! :) Another favorite product from this month's box is the Jouer Tinted Moisturizer. Normally I use my fingers to blend, but I have Beauty Blender sponge this time. The color is illuminating and only wish the sample was lot bigger.. Also got an exfoliating cleanser from Dermalogica, a heart-shaped nail file, and some music downloads!

So glad the Birchboxes have gotten better and better this year!! Can't wait for my March box in the next two weeks! Haven't joined the Birchbox wagon yet.. join today!
