Biore cleansers to unclog, scrub & deep clean!

Biore's Cleansers and Scrubs
Biore's got a new Spring look!! But their cleansing power have stayed the same...

Above are three Biore cleansers that each have it's own purpose. Overall, I recommend these if you have normal to oily skin w/ large pores!
* Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser- Heats & Treats to Target blackheads
* Steam Activated Cleanser- Deep Cleans to purify those stubborn pores
* Pore Unclogging Scrub- Clears & Exfoliates gunk

This scrub works well exfoliate your skin, as it is important to do so at least once a week! There's microbeads to gently exfoliate old dead skin cells and also combined with a cleanser that leaves your skin feeling Biore clean.
This is a must for your shower.. yes another product to add to your bathroom. It's steam-activated which is great because I apply right when I get in and after 5-7 minutes, I can wash right off. It's also great if you have b-acne or any other blemishes that may be caused from sweat (workouts), etc.
This salicylic acid acne treatment is targeted for your blackheads, so I only use this on my nose. I love its warming affect as its meant to heat up and withdraw any gunk from your nose. Combined with using the porestrips in my routine and my nose looks so much better pre-Biore usage. Don't overdry your nose by using too much product, so use this every few days at first or more, depending on your skin.

March Birchbox curated by teen vogue

My March Birchbox arrived safely mid-March and I've been happily using these items this past 2.5 weeks. I sadly lost my turquoise hair-tie yesterday as it is MIA and was a bit loose for my hair..The Tarte LipSurgence gloss's light red sheen is gorgeous with the right amount of color for a berry pout and the Essie polish's sparkly top coat is glitter-tastic. The Shiseido blotting papers- I'm saving those for the summer months. The Annick Goutal Petite Cherie smells so Parisian, absolutely love the pear & vanilla combo! I'm excited to get my April birchbox.. get yours today!

Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect Color + Care Review

Pastels are in this spring! And what better way to wear these pretty shades than on your fingertips. Sally Hansen's new Smooth & Perfect Color + Care nail color are great to get a completely smooth finish. Why? Because its formulated to hide any ridges your nails may have naturally. It contains ginseng, camelia oil and lotus to help you get healthier nails. The line comes in 8 pretty shades, including the three above. My personal favorite is the light pink above which is girly and it really reminds me of Spring! I loved the smooth finish that I got from this polish and can't wait to wear the other colors this season!

Be sure to check out their Cuticle Erase + Balm to prep for all your manicures!

Lester's Department Store Experience & Tour

This month, I was invited to a private event to learn about Lester's department store on the Upper East Side in NYC and I had such a delightful time. Lester's specializes in womens, juniors, tweens, kids, and baby clothing & accessories, so there really is something for everyone when you're shopping for your family. (Except men's) Their styles are very trendy and for the kids/baby clothing, they are absolutely adorable! Items in here are practical for your own family or make great gifts for your nieces, nephews and other friend's children.

They recently launched their website so if you don't live near a Lester's department store, you can check out their inventory on their website. Here are some pictures from the various departments there. As you can see, all the clothing there are so stylish!

I'm lucky that there's a Lester's nearby but if you're not, definitely check out their new website.. will be making a purchase there very soon! They ship from Brooklyn! :)

Hush Puppies Slippers by Grandoe

I'm all about comfort and this month, I got to try a pair of these comfy Hush Puppies slippers in the Willow Thong style from their Spring/Summer Break Slipper Collection. These plush, plaid slippers in a gorgeous lavender shade has the softest, cushiony insole. The fabric for the "flip-flop" is also soft and doesn't tug at your skin. It's incredibly comfortable and versatile as you can wear this around your house, as well as by the pool & outdoors because of its rubber sole.

These will make great gifts for yourself, mom, friends, etc! And you can save 15% on a pair, which retails for $40, with special promo code: "15HUSH". Code valid until May 31, 2012.

Biore towelettes- Makeup Removing & Daily Cleansing

With Biore's new look, Biore products' packaging are now simple & clean. It makes it easier to read, and includes a Spanish and French translation on the front as well. These two products, the Make-up Removing Towelettes and Daily Cleansing Cloths are great for travel, for the gym, on-the-go, or for home-use. They're versatile and good for those days when you're too busy. They work just as effective and you know you're getting a clean wash since you're using a new cloth.

I've always been a fan of using towelettes because they were simple and I prefer to use them while travelling. The make-up removing towelettes can be used for face and eye makeup, and the daily cleansing cloths can be used at the end of the day as well as in the afternoon, when your face may be feeling a bit greasy. There's no oily residue afterwards, so all you feel is - CLEAN!

Biore Skincare Spring Launch- New Look and Pore Strips!

One of my trusty drugstore brands had a facelift this Spring! If I had glanced at this quickly, I wouldn't have recognized this was Biore, since I'm so used to their light green packaging. They have changed their overall look so it's much cleaner and simple- with a white background a basic blue text- Biore. I received several products from their collection- some new, some I haven't tried before so they're new to me, and some oldies/faves! First, is my favorite- their Deep Cleansing Pore Strips!

If you large pores/blackheads/stubborn whiteheads, try these Biore strips to
unclog 'em! They won't get every single one clean, but they do wonders especially if you haven't exfoliated or extracted them, in a while. I've used the Original version before, but they also have an Ultra version which has tea tree oil and witch hazel, great for oily skin, to really help get those pores cleared out.

Stay tuned for more Biore product reviews, including their facial towelettes and makeup removers and cleansers!! :)

Venus & Olay Razor

In my latest Influenster LoveVoxBox, I received the Gillette Venus & Olay razor. One of the features that I like in a razor is its shower hook so it's easy to store in the bathroom. There's usually no space otherwise... so a shower hook is a must! This razor also has 5 unique blades to give you your closest shave and it has a moisturizing bar above the razors. This Olay Moisture Bar strip is there to help condition & moisturize your skin so you get the #GoddessSkin that Gillette razors strive for their customers to have. I do have to say that my legs has been unbelievably smooth after using this, so I'm very happy!

If you're interested in getting this razor for yourself, they're available now in your local markets/drugstores for about $9-$11 (USD). If you need more refillable 3-pack cartridges, you can those for $15-$20.

Thanks again to Influenster for letting me try this in the Love VoxBox! :)

Sally Hansen- Gem Crush Nail Color

Now that your nails are hangnail-free with the Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser + Balm, it's time to get your shine on! The NEW Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail colors are the perfect sparkly polishes for a glittery glow.

The collection comes in 8 different colors, as spotted in the drugstore below, from a Bling-tastic blue to Lady Luck magenta as I have added to my own collection. Each coat is literally full of sparkle so you'll definitely get noticed. These are extremely sparkly so it'll take some to get used to. Otherwise, to de-tensify the polishes would be to mix it with some clear polish.

These latest GemCrush colors are a cinch to wear! You can wear it as a top coat to a nude base or wear it stand-alone over a base coat. There's many options which is what I love most about Sally Hansen's polishes in general. Since these polishes are so shiny and textured, even though I'm not a pro on putting polish on, tiny mistakes weren't too noticeable! :)

Here are ALL the colors that I saw at a local drugstore. Aren't they all so sparkly?!?

Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser + Balm review

This Spring, Sally Hansen has a few new products to get your nails primped and ready to go- either for work, date night, or a girl's night out. I've already spotted these in drugstores already and I'm so excited that I get to try them out! First, to get your nails ready, moisturized and conditioned, you'll have to use the Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser + Balm.

This spirally green cream is fun and beneficial too if you tend to get dry, cracked areas near nails. It's unpleasant and can sometimes hurt too, so it's important to take care of them. I've been using these the past week and found my cuticles to look more soft and smooth. I used to get a few cracks here and there but it's been pretty healthy looking so far. Now that my cuticles are primed and ready, it's time for some gorgeous polish!

Stay tuned for my next Sally Hansen post on sparkly polishes!!

Discover Natural with Abe's Market

As you may already know, I'm a huge monthly subscription box junkie! It took me a while to warm up to the idea of paying for more samples, but after so many companies came up with these boxes, I dived right in!
Now, I recently discovered Abe's Market which lets you select any 3 samples for just $2 (include shipping!). Each 3 sample pack is your "discover naturals pack" and you're only allowed to get 3 packs per person. This allows everyone to get a chance to try the samples and share the love. So, for $6, you get 9 samples which is AWESOME because w/ other sample boxes, you pay about 3 times as much and get the same # of samples.

Check it out here: http://www.abesmarket.com/discovernatural

If you try this out, let me know which samples you picked!! There are so many in the food, bath& body, and beauty categories that choosing 9 was difficult. :)

Suave Scalp Solutions Shampoo & Conditioner review

I was recently sent the NEW Suave Scalp Solutions set to try, which consists of the Anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner. As you can see the coconut image on the bottle, the products contain the goodness of coconut oil as well as shea butter for moisturizing. When my hair/scalp gets really dry (over washing, probably) it tends to flake. This unpleasant dandruff which is noticeable due to my haircolor, can be quite, well, unpleasant to look at. So, after using this for the past week and a half, I've noticed no mo' flakes! My scalp's been looking nice and clean, and my hair smells terrific. Tip: When washing your hair everyday, don't shampoo all your tresses, just focus on the scalp and condition the rest!

Glow by Dr. Brandt Review

Want skin that glows and illuminates? If you're tired of a dull complexion, then first I recommend you to exfoliate & put on your favorite mask right away! It's time to clean up those dead skin cells. Then I would recommend the new Glow by Dr.Brandt kit that I have been recently using. It's a 2 part system with an Overnight Resurfacing Serum (for night) and a Ruby Crystal Retinol Hydracreme (moisturizer for day). Both products are made for all skin types, but if you have extremely sensitive skin, try a patch test first. I've been using these products for the past few weeks and have found my skin more radiant and who doesn't want that in the dull winter days?

The Overnight Resurfacing Serum is made for your nighttime routine. It can be a bit tingly at first so after continued usage, you can start to use this every night. For now, I use this every other night.

During the day, I use the flesh-toned moisturizer that brings radiance to my skin. I like how it smooths my skin and makes it look so dewy and glowy.

Since incorporating Glow by Dr. Brandt into my daily skincare routine, I have found my skin more healthy-looking, smooth, and radiant! Hallelujah! No more winter dullness!
