Ipsy's Generation Beauty Conference

Happy June! I kicked off the month with the Ipsy Generation Beauty conference in LA this past weekend. (AKA the Beauty Mecca with a gazillion beauty goodies) This was my first time there and I am so glad I got the opportunity to go both days! Tips on avoiding the long lines? Get there early, and head straight to the booths that were giving away products!

We dashed to the Benefit booth to get a free sample of their They're Real Push-up Liner. Quickly noticed that the other brands were either selling or doing demos so we went to Bare Minerals's booth. It was by far the most popular booth of the weekend; the lines stretched about 3/4 of the entire space as people waited patiently to get their skin color matched to a full-size Bare Skin foundation and brush! (Almost all freebies at the event came at the cost of posting a pic on social media with their hashtag.)

The best part of each day was the HAPPY HOUR- redeeming tickets to get packaged goodie bags! There were 4 tickets with 4 bags of loot! There were slight variations in the bags of course but mostly everyone got lots of stuff! Some booths you were only allowed to get one sample since they marked your badge but others you could get multiple :) 

Can't wait to do reviews of these products and hopefully will get to try these all out! This should seriously last a whole year :) or I may just give it away.. Reviews coming soon! 

This is seriously one of the best consumer beauty events out there! The ticket prices are a bit hefty- ranging from $50-$150 depending if you're an Ipsy subscriber and when you purchase the ticket. I'll be getting mine in advance again!

Fresh Picks from May's Ipsy bag

My May Ipsy bag came this week with gorgeous essentials for the summer! First, sunscreen! From the brand, Jersey Shore Tans is paraben-free and is very white. I use this for my hands and feet as the sample is not a lot. Stay hydrated! The Avene water spray is perfect to keep skin literally moist and keeps it cool when it's very hot and dry out there. It's not for drinking tho! Moisturize with Pur-lisse! A product that I have seen everywhere, this light weight moisturizer is great for the summer days. This will be added into my travel bag.

Mask-it! Hey Honey Skincare's honey mask is just what I need for a surprisingly sweet mask for my face. Last but not least, ilovePacifica! It's Pacifica Beauty's Instagram handle and I totally agree! I got a neutral eyeshadow duo to bringing natural shimmer to my eyes. The lighter shade is also good for highlighting! I could probably use the darker shade for a bit of bronzer too but I haven't tried that yet.

Ipsy this month has been a real skin treat! Can't wait for the Generation Beauty event later this month for makeup madness !

Since April, I've been giving my skin a boost with the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster - amazing serum to make your skin feel its very best. Sante Cosmetics Updated Review

I am so psyched to be sharing some of my new favorite beauty products from Sante Cosmetics. This brand was discontinued for a bit in the US but it's now back and I'm so glad! Now I can stock up on their amazing eyeshadow trio and eyeshadow sticks! 

I also got to try their newest shampoo - jojoba shampoo. So far, my hair has felt vibrant and amazingly moisturized. The scent is something that you have to get used to though- it reminds me of a previous Sante skincare product that I used a few years back.

My two new beauty staples include the Sante lipstick #21 and their blush/cheek powder in #2. The lipstick is a beautiful pop of coral/pink that complements my light skintone well. It's also bright so lifts my mood whenever I wear it. The #2 cheek color is warm and gives you an extremely natural color. This is perfect for everyday and for a professional office-wear look.

April Birchbox Review

My Rainy Days-themed Birchbox this month is finally here!! It came a lot later than I usually receive it but the wait was well worth it! This is my favorite month because there are four deluxe sized samples that I cannot wait to use.

First, I got some Pie! No, not Apple pie but just theBalm's lip an cheek tint in Pie. Super cute packaging and amazing color!

New Spring Kushyfoot products

This month I have been wearing my new Kushyfoot products like my feet depended on it! (Actually it did!) I absolutely love the cushion-y feeling and support that I get with the foot cover socks.. (Its got these little soft pillows that make every step so comfy) so I was excited to try the new styles!

From left to right: 

1) The Ultra Low Cut Foot Covers- These cute new polka dot styles is perfect for wearing with your flats or loafers. Each pack comes with two pairs- a steel gray/blue and a black one. It also comes with a cute fringe so it will look adorable even when wearing alone.

2) Sport Foot Cover- this hot pink pair was perfect for wearing with my sneakers. It felt comfortable, even without the cushion and didn't feel sweaty even after an intense workout. Definitely going to get a few more of these as they're flat and easy to pack for travel.

3) Extreme Low Cut Foot Covers- Similar to the Ultra Low Cut, these pairs are even less coverage to wear with your favorite pumps! Each pack comes with a nude and a black pair. I haven't had any issues so far with them slipping off, which is a huge plus!

4)  Sheer Anklet- This pair of nude socks is cute when wearing your favorite pair of heels and long pants! Its perfect to wear in a corporate environment but since I'm wearing more business casual nowadays, I'll be saving these for another time.
