 | Happy July 4th Weekend!! Just a few weeks ago, on June 14th, I attended the PrettyCity.com's Green & Gorgeous event (co-sponsored with Shape Magazine) in New York City. Also hosted in LA & Atlanta, this annual event features natural beauty products and local hair & beauty services. I was excited to see some of my favorites from the last event including Stella & Dot, L'Institut Sothys, and drinks from Izze! |
 | The event was taken at the Environment Furniture store, and was very busy when I got there. Towards the back, there was a huge line for a table that was giving out a free recycled tote bag (the line was too long for me to wait). Overall, I ad a nice time seeing friends and can't wait to use my items from the goody bag!! |
 | Stella & Dot's table- they have gorgeous jewelry in nice packaging so it's great for gifts. |
 | Body Blessings- another new brand that I learned at Green & Gorgeous! They sell lovely bath & body products, including bar soaps and body butter at a slight discount. I scored a Lemongrass bar soap for $5 (regularly $6) It smells delicious! |
 | Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics- they were supposed to have polish exchanges, but I didn't see any.. Lots of pretty polishes though! |
 | L'Institut Sothy's- the table selling some of their products. I didn't get a chance to see everything here because they were giving hand massages right in front of the table.. hence the side angle of the picture. |

 | This past week, I attended the StyleFixx Premier Shopping Event in New York City. I first attended this beauty & fashion shopping event back in the Fall of 2009, so I was excited to come back after going hiatus for more than a year. (Recap/goody bag pics of 2009 event here.) Again, there were lots of fashion vendors, selling dresses and clothing and jewelry shops. I was hoping to see some more beauty products but overall, I had a fun time! | Last but not least, is the GOODY BAG!! If you saw my post from last year, you would notice this year's is a bit snack-heavy. However, I love to munch and I am excited to try the Freeman's Lemon & Mint clay mask so I am a happy camper! All in all, StyleFixx Girl's night out event is fun for you and your friends to grab a drink or two, and shop!!  | At the end of June, Pretty City had another fantastic event in NYC called Green and Gorgeous, featuring eco-chic beauty products, services and a giant goodie bag. :) Located in Environment Furniture, attendees shopped, learned about new and favorite beauty products, sipped on Izze drinks and gushed over their goodie bag. |
 | There were three floors of vendors, with plenty of seating on each to lounge around and sip on Izze drinks. Yum!! They're available at select grocery stores and retail restaurants. |
| The Body Shop was there to display and sell some of their top products- body butters, their new deodorants, and Love Etc. scents. |  |

| One of the vendors that I really enjoyed learning about was Wembé Amazonian Soul's eco-friendly luxurious all-natural handmade soaps. Over a dozen soaps were displayed and each one smelled so fresh and natural. They had samples of the Mango and Yerba Mate in its old formula. It was recommended to me to get the Yerba Mate exfoliating blend soap and I'm so glad I did! This soap contains antioxidants, essential oils which feels rich and luxurious. Makes each experience feel so spa-like, it's amazing! |

| Lavera was also another vendor that provided samples of their sunscreen and lipglosses. This company is also eco-friendly and uses natural ingredients for their products, which is perfect since I am allergic to chemicals in sunscreens. These are available for purchase at Target. | |

| Although the brands did not have tables at this event, I have to say that I am loving every single one of these products. All of these full-size products in the goodie bag came in a reusable bag from brands such as SHAPE magazine, Tom's of Maine, Bodycology, EcoTools, and so much more! Hope to do more in-depth reviews coming soon! | |
